Brodie Cuff, a grade twelve student at Marion M. Graham Collegiate has been selected as the 2007 recipient of the $500 Paul Peters Memorial Bursary.
The Paul Peters Memorial Bursary was established in 1990 in memory of the late Paul Peters who until his tragic death in 1988 was the Executive Director of the Centennial Auditorium and Convention Centre. The Bursary is awarded annually by the Board of Directors of TCU Place to a grade 12 graduate who has displayed exceptional skills and leadership in the areas of music and/or drama, and whose goal is to pursue post secondary education in one of these areas.
Brodie Cuff was selected as the 2007 recipient of the Paul Peters Bursary for outstanding abilities and achievements in music. Brodie’s abilities include singing, guitar, and band. Brodie has held lead roles in school musical productions in 2006, 2004, and 2003. In 2005 Brodie went on the road and toured across Western Canada with the professional acapella group called HOJA. Brodie can also be heard singing the national anthem at half of the Blades games.
Brodie’s goal is to obtain his Bachelor of Music majoring in voice performance; from there he will try to launch a career in solo performance. Brodie is not too sure where his heart will take him, but he knows music is where he is meant to be.
The TCU Place Board of Directors and the Paul Peters Memorial Committee would like to thank all those who applied for this year’s bursary award. |
