Do you have rooms appropriate for small meetings?

Answer: We have a wide variety of rooms available for both small and large meetings.  We can accommodate groups as small as 10 people to as large as 1800 people.

Do you do weddings at TCU Place?

Answer: When you select TCU Place for your wedding, you can expect excellent facilities and first class catering.  Our wedding package has been designed to meet all your needs.  We pride ourselves on hosting many exceptional weddings over the years.  A dedicated staff of professionals from our Sales Executives to our Event Planners will assist you in planning and executing your wedding to assure that your dreams comes together effortlessly and flawlessly.

How soon do you need to book your event?

Answer: We book events up to six years in advance at any given time.  We recommend booking with as much advanced notice as possible to ensure your preferred dates are available.  Larger conferences with more requirements need to be booked well in advance to allow for all of the pieces to fall into place.

Is there a rental rate for non-profit organizations?

Answer: Our prices have been set to provide everyone the best possible value and therefore do not differentiate between profit and non-profit. We offer competitive prices with excellent service.

When must you confirm your space?

Answer: We can tentatively hold the space for you until your decision is made or until another client wishes to confirm the same space, therefore we recommend that you confirm your space as soon as possible to ensure that it is secure.  Some restrictions may apply to confirming dates for the theatre.

How much of a deposit is required?

Answer: Upon confirming an event, a signed contract and deposit is required.  The deposit is determined by a formula based on the particulars of your event.  Your sales representative will inform you of your deposit requirements upon booking your event.

Can you bring in your own food or allow other caterers to provide service at TCU Place?

Answer: TCU Place provides exclusive catering services to all our events.  All catering and food preparation is done on premises and our Chef uses her creative talents to design menus and “cook up” outstanding cuisine.  Our patrons rave about the quality, service and overall delivery of the dining experience at our facility.

What other charges are added to banquets and receptions besides the meal price?

Answer: All prices are subject to 6% GST as well as a 12% service charge.

What is included in corkage fees?

Answer: Our corkage fees include glasses, mix, condiments, ice and bartender(s).  We determine the number of bartenders based on a minimum of 1 for every 100 guests.

What type of technical support do we provide?

Answer: Our facility technicians are some of the best in the industry.  They are very knowledgeable regarding all aspects of technical production and provide thorough customer service.  Their expertise ensures a first class presentation as they identify potential problems, offer expert advise, assist both audiovisual suppliers and clients and provide clear invisible signals allowing the event to progress smoothly.  They have a talent for assisting clients with the creation and production of unique ideas for their event.

What audio/visual services are provided at TCU Place?

Answer: TCU Place will provide all of the technical support for your event.  Our theatre and event technicians can supply you with the most sophisticated state-of-the-art technical equipment and knowledge to ensure that your event runs smoothly.

Do we provide pipe and drape services for tradeshows?

Answer: Pipe and drape, decorating, props, tradeshow display set-up, an endless array of creative ideas all come from our preferred supplier – Handy Special Event Centre (see our event resources page).  Handy Special Event Centre will provide detailed quotes for all services required for your event.
